To select non-contiguous cells the instructions say to hold down the Control
key and click on each cell you want included in the selected group.
I find that if I, for example, select A1 and B1 then, when they are
highlighted, I can hold down Control and add any cell I want to the selected
group by clicking on it.
However, if I hold down Control and click on A1 then C1 and then E1, only E1
is selected - ie, the Control-Select does not work in this case.
