Hello, Is there a way to speed up the time it takes for tool tips to be displayed? I don't want to spend 2 seconds waitng for it to pop up. I'd prefer if I could somehow decrease the time.
In Gimp Image editor, the tool tips appear very quickly. I like it that way. But with OpenOffice.org applications, it takes a long time. I did an experiment: when [Help-->Extended Tips] is off, it loads up faster. But when [Extended Tips] is on, it takes a long time. Why is that? I don't think it takes too much CPU power to display a sentence of a tool tip, as opposed to a word or phrase. ANyway we can change this? When I do Ctrl+F1 or Shift+F1, (where the mouse cursor turns to a question mark), the extended tips appear instantly! I suppose the show--extended-tooltip-when- mouse-over-button is really supposed to be _not_ instant. I think this because, it may bother many people when they don't want a tooltip (especially a long one), and they just want to press the button. But if I could somehow tweak it to make it just a bit faster, that would be good.
