Hi Eike > If you accidentally pressed >enter too fast you might even not having noticed the message box, but

I hope to get hold of a backup of the file to test more times. > If there were no changes you weren't asked and the >document wasn't written by OOo. OOo run the file through the Achii filter and the file displayed on screen looked nothing like the worksheet - so it was changed. Bu why would OOo choose the aschii filter even though I specified in the open box that this was an Excel file? The worksheet was created in Excel 97 and modified in Excel XP. Can this have something to do with the problem? han any similar problem been reprted before? > >If you still think OOo overwrote your document without you having told >it to do so, we'd need a reproducible case, for example the document you >used, or a similar one if you don't have a backup of that. I will se what I can do. I had a machinecrash and have used (and destroyed) my backup of this document, but perhaps the document can be recovered from the harddisk of the crashed machine. regards Ottar Grimstad ----- En e-post tjeneste fra Mimer Internett - http://webmail.mimer.no --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
