I am using version 1.1.4 [the link to the beta 1.9 was not working when I tried to download it a couple days ago]
I searched the knowledge base and found nothing about block arrows. There was a note about making triangles in Draw, but it was the obvious point that making a triangle simply means you make a 3-sided polygon. Let me be more clear: I would like a one-click solution that simply creates a triangle on the page, which I can then move or resize to my needs. I would rather not have to draw a new one every time. I guess the answer is just to record a macro, but I thought that there might be a tool for making premade triangles [since Powerpoint has one]. A "block arrow" is an arrow with a thick "middle" that is "open." So it is like someone took a "normal" arrow, thickened the line in the middle, and then someone else traced around it so that the inside was white. When I was tinkering around with the object menu, I could thicken the line, but I could not make the inside invisible. I suppose I could create one arrow with very thick lines, and then create another, slightly smaller, arrow with white fill on top of that, but I was hoping there was a simpler solution. Block arrows are available in powerpoint in the shapes menu, they have their own category. Thanks for the help and the quick response. [there is an email with the subject "block arrows" in the archive of this mailing list, but I cannot get to it] On 7/25/05, Dan Lewis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > On Sunday 24 July 2005 10:19 pm, David Rudel wrote: > > I know there have been messages dealing with this, but I have been > > trying for over a day to get into the archives, and I get error 134 > > from the servlet :( > > > > I would appreciate it if someone could illuminate to me how I can > > make triangles in impress and how I can make block arrows. > > > > I have tried fiddling with the lines and doing other stuff for arrows > > and I am completely at a loss. > > > > Thanks! > > > > David > > Please be more specific.
