Actually you made me realise that I wanted the hard way i.e. to have a

I guess the problem is that when you have spent 10+ years working with a
specific product you expect the functionalities to be in exactly the
same place and this is not the case.
I am very new to OOo and I still need to discover a large number of
functionalities (e.g. I still did not discover how to create a custom
gradient for the area of a chart, but please don't tell me... yet (-: )

oh.. by the way... strange as it seems (the women clothes catalogue

Okay.
Custom colors in OOo need some work still. Like as far as loading and
saving custom palettes. Also, If you are adding a lot of colors, you can
do it manually be editing a text file as Jonathon mentioned.
