OOo 1.1.4 contains a simple dBase database. To access it, you need
to have a file open in OOo. (An untitled file will do.)
Tools > Data Sources will open the Data Source Administration window.
From this you can create new dBase databases and access a variety of
other databases. (The latter requires the installation of a specific
driver.)
