Using W98SE here, there are three options presented, Modify, Remove, and
Repair (not necessarily in that order) when setup.exe is run.
What you are seeing isn't correct. Whether the Repair option will fix
it I can't say. Personally, I would uninstall/re-install.

Hi Everybody,
I'm new to OpenOffice and this is my first time trying to point out what
I think is a problem. I understand that there are likely many issues
submitted and little time to read and research them. However, the
resolution of this one leaves me wondering what I'm missing.
The resolution just saying, "Everything is described correct in the
online help and in the setup guide", but, at least in my installation,
they are not correct. I put a screen shot and the relevent help page up
at this URL:
http://dowork.com/home.nsf/nav/OpenOffice+Installer+Issue ?
Can someone point out where the "modify" option is on that dialog box or
how I can get a "modify" option to show up?
I'm sure I must be missing something but I can't figure out what it is.
Just give me a hint.
Best regards,
Rob:-]
