This did not seem to work. I am using OOo 1.9.104. When I produce an outline like this
1 good
1.1 better
1.2 best
2 bad
2.1 worse
2.2 worst
3. green
3.1 greener
3.2 purple

I want to find a way to see only 1, 2, and 3, without the subpoints. I am producing a large document, and this is necessary. I can do this in MSWord.

Thanks

Jonathan

Is there a way of collapsing the subpoints in an outline, showing only
the top level? As in MSWord.

I'm not sure what your actual needs for outlining is, but using the navigator for this is very useful. The F5 key will turn it on for you. In OOo 2.0 beta has an option in the Navigator to show only a certain levels of headers. Is this what you are looking for ?
