>>Hi
My name is Vidyasagar and I am writing this mail from
Coimbatore,
India. I
am using open office in my note book and I am finding
it very useful.
But I
have certain issues with regard to the use of the
spread sheet package.
I am
a banker and I need to use it for running certain
calculators/scoring
sheets
where macros have built in the excel sheet. But I am
not able to use
these
in open office. Even when i go to the macros option
and give run
macros,I am
unable to do it. I am not very tech savvy, so please
could some one
clarify
on how to run excel sheets which have macros in them.
 Regards,
 H Vidyasagar.<<

you will have to rewrite the macros using OOo's macro
language since it differs from excel's macro language.

before doing that, though, i'd recommend having
someone in your IT dept determine if a database is a
better set up. many, many and i mean *many*
spreadsheets are really database applications in disguise.
