From me just a short note "on that": When you structure your text with list styles instead of chapter styles you won't be able to create a Table of Contents on the base of these numbered lists. Yes. On the very GUI where you define the "before" text there's field called character style. A list pops up which contains all entries from the character style list in the stylist. Choose what's suitable, or define your own character style in the stylist. Neat. Isn't it?
