If you are using the version of OOo supplied with SuSE 9.3, it is based
on a very old release and it was "polished" by SuSE to work with their
environment. Your choices are simply to replace the SuSE version
(1.9.79.9 is the newest I know of) with a current beta candidate from
the OOo site (1.9.118 as of this writing) to see if the newer beta
corrects the problem, or to contact SuSE. I suspect you might have
better luck installing the new software. I'm not slamming SuSE. I just
upgraded from their 9.1 to 9.3 and am very satisfied. I also installed
OOo 1.9.118 without ever having seen a problem like the one you describe
because I think it is the correct thing to do.

Good day,
One intriguing problem when writing a report using Openoffice 2.0-pre is that
one underlined heading out of several that have been similarly entered
throughout the text refuses to print as underlined - even though print
preview also shows this text to be correctly underlined as intended. All
other headings do print correctly underlined, it being just this one at
random which shows this inconsistent behaviour.
Yet if that one underlined heading is copied on its own to a new document, the
underlining is correctly reproduced when printed.
We would be most grateful if you could suggest some means of resolving this.
All the relevant online update patches for Suse Linux 9.3 have been
installed.
