Yes you may. On one of the CD's, there should be a license file. It
will reinforce what I just said. Have the school system's lawyer read
it if you have any additional doubts. For that matter, you can provide
your students with a copy of OOo so that they can install it on their
computers at home.
Let me suggest you read the SETUP_GUIDE.pdf before installing
OpenOffice.org (OOo) on any of your computers.
Version 2.0 of OpenOffice.org will be coming out sometime later
this year. It will be available both in the form of a CD (or CD set) or
a downloadable program.

should be helpful.
