This is in a Calc document (1.9.118). The 'completion' lists I'm
interested in editing are the ones that auto-input stuff when typing
in a cell.
When I open 'Tools > Autocorrect', the only tabs are:
Replace Exceptions Options Quotes
The only one that looks appropriate is the 'Replace' tab, and the
problem words in question are not anywhere in this list.
So, again, how do I edit the 'word completion' lists in calc used
when typing in cells?
Pardon me for jumping in late, but I have no idea what you want to do.
I do have one suggestion that might help. Help > OpenOffice.org Help >
Index (tab) > Autocorrect function:cell contents.
All this tells me is how to enable or disable it, and, by the way...
What I am talking about is called 'AutoInput' in calc.
Tools > Cell Contents > AutoInput
The only options are to enable or disable it.
What I need to do is Edit the lists it automatically creates and adds to
when it is enabled.
I appreciate any assistance anyone can provide.
Charles
Sure. RTFHF.
From the section "Autoinput Function":
"When making an entry in a cell, OpenOffice.org Calc automatically
suggests _*matching input found in the same column*_. This function is
known as AutoInput." (Emphasis added.)
The obvious solution is to make no other entries in the column or to
make only entries in the same column in other rows that correspond to
what you want to see. It's been awhile, but as I recall MSExcel97 (the
last version I used) worked in exactly the same manner.
