Hi Gino, This is a known issue, but is considered a feature enhancement and not a bug as such. This means that it takes lower priority to be implemented over existing, more serious issues. You can simulate a similar filtering set using the Advanced filters under Calc. Obviously it is not via the dropdown lists, but it also offers greater flexibility that MS Excel does.
