Just had a go on my set up 1.9.122
Under tools.menu, select options, then under openoffice.org writer,
click on view, then there is an option for graphics and objects (display
section)
By unchecking this openoffice.org replaced my graphic with a placeholder
with the caption, graphics 1, so I would guess checking (i.e ensure
there is a tick in the box) this would put the picture, back, It seems
odd as on my setup this is by default,
I think that if you have low memory this is a better to display
placeholders, rather than graphics, perhaps if you have low memory it's
done this for you, to ensure better performance, (can anyone comment on
this)
