You could merge some cells, thus making a large area behave as a single cell.

Dear Open Office,

I have created spreadsheets using Open Office with the same ease as I did with MS Office. One problem I am having though, is the creation of text boxes which eliminate the grid lines on a spreadsheet. I have read the help section which lists" text boxes" but it doesn't tell me how to go about creating one. I am trying to put a large title on my spreadsheet but some gridlines are visible when I center the title. In MS Office I could choose to make the whole title area a text box which eliminated any grid lines on either side of the centered title. Does Open Office have the same capibilities?

Hope you can help,

Laurel Proctor
