Excel can copy, but cannot cut and paste multiple selections.
Also, Excel pastes to produse contiguous rows, not to the original row

I find very little use for such a feature, and when I do it is usually
because of poor planning in the firest place.
Thanks for your information, but I find it useful for agruping without erasing rows plenty of information. In MS Excel we can copy through Cntr-C and paste in a same number of rows (yes putting them contiguous).
The question is:
May openoffice.org implement this function? or could be better improve the copy
& paste function for handling multiple selections in a better way than excel
does?
PS: Don't ask why I'm dealing with this specific function, only FYI that I'm
migrating an administration department at work. Th office's girls are claiming
my head in a pike for removing this multiple selection feature of hers life
with the change from Excel to Calc ... You know what I mean..

I understand, same for me and WordPerfect reveal codes and lack of
something in OOo.
You can put the request for enhancement onto the bugzilla and see where
it goes from there. I for one agree that this could be useful when
taking data and wanting to work with pieces of it for comparison. One
thing that I do allot of.
