With OO.org v2.0 b2 running in Windows 98SE, I cannot open OO.org files
on my network. Whenever I try to open a file, either
through OO.o's File-->Open dialog or from Windows Explorer,
I get a error dialog box saying
"(full UNC path to the file) does not exist"
The server in question is a Quantum Snap Server
(http://www.snapappliance.com/) but this also happens on a Samba server.
If I copy the OO.o files from the LAN server to the Win98SE PC and open
them locally, no problems. I can create a document in OO.o v2 in Win98SE
and save it on the network but then I can't retrieve them.
A workaround for this is to map the network share to a drive letter and
opening the files from the network drive.
If the file is shared on a Win98SE machine, I can open the file over the
network.
None of these problems occur with OpenOffice v1.1.4 in Windows 98 and
none of these problems occur with OpenOffice v1.1.4 or v2 beta 2 in
Windows XP.
Any suggestions?
