A "master document" is a structure that holds together several documents

think that there is a way to cross-reference to separate files also.

Look in User Guide and HowTos for Master documents.

Most of the howto's and user-guides are not very helpful when it comes to my particular problem, as they merely mention the fact that it can be done.

I searched high and low for a way of cross-referencing between two documents and the best I came up with was http://www.taming-openoffice-org.com/writer/xrefbetweendocs.htm

However, I find the method of creating cross-references cumbersome and difficult. So I was wondering whether there was an easier way of doing it. I tried mailing the author of the above mentioned page, asking if the method is applicable in OO-beta, but to no avail.

So any help regarding the subject would be appreciated.
