Here is an example that demonstrates what I'd like to do. I would like to
make each of these paragraphs into real paragraphs and retain the blank
line between paragraphs. I've tried all the suggestions with no success.
Any suggestions?

Autoformat works very well in 2.0 and not so well in 1.1.4. Which do you
use? You not told us your OS either.
I'm using windows xp home sp2 with the 1.9.125 build. What autoformat
settings did you use. Each time I tried it with anything from 5% to 90%
and several in between the blank lines were eliminated and the majority
of the lines retained the ending paragraph symbol.
