I'm looking for some tutorials how to create and handle data base with OpenOffice 2 Beta
Thanks,

That's hardly any help.

Chapter 7: Databases and Data Services

This chapter needs to be completely rewritten to focus on the
built-in HSQLDB Database...

I like the way you search for information. As a matter of fact there are
two user guides, one monolithic and the other is chapters. You are right
the Base chapter is being rewritten but most of the information holds
true. Still there is the OOoAuthors guides and had you bothered to click
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthors2/index.html you
would have discovered Chapter 10
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/oooauthors2/0110GS-GettingStartedWithBase.pdf

If what we volunteers produce is not what you want, please contributing
to the effort. Perhaps you would like to take on the task of writing up
the chapter on Base. Attach your work to
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=29679 and help others.

Deride my searching abilities if you like, but I maintain the
list of OOoAuthors Guides is not at all intuitive enough that
one would know to go to yet another page to find the one missing
chapter on Databases.

I apologize for my poor choice of words on my previous post in
this thread. It was not my intention to denigrate the efforts
of the volunteers.

I would gladly take on the task of writing that chapter if I
know how it functioned. I am knowledgable about HSQLDB having
used it for Java development for a couple of years now, but I
know nothing about the OOo implementation and how they are
able to access it from outside the JVM.
