When I use OpenOffice to open my Microsoft document containing a table of contents, two forms of corruption occur. The first is that the first heading, Introduction, now has a 0 in front of it instead of a 1 like it should (like it does in Word), and the table of contents also reflects this change. The second issue is that now my table of contents skips from 0 for the first section to 1.2 for the first sub section (which was originally 1.1), then all numbers from here on follow this same pattern (they are all one section to deep because of the section 1.1 that was skipped). I was using OpenOffice version 109 on an NT box when the aboved occured. When I checked it against version 125 on a different NT box, the number in front of Introduction disappears all together, but the rest of the heading numbers are correct. Does anyone know what is going on here, and perhaps how to resolve this issue.
