I print out sermons on landscape A4 sheets, using two columns on each

method (by formatting Two Pages on one sheet) to enable a page number at
the bottom of each "A5" page. Is there a similar way to put a "Page
Number" at the bottom of each column in a two-column Landscape A4 page
in Writer?
(I hope that's clear!)
Thanks
What you describe sounds like Brochure printing. What this does is
reduce your page size by half and put two pages on each physical sheet
of paper in such a way that when you get done (assuming duplex -- two
sided printing) you can just take the whole stack of paper, fold it in
half and you have a nice little booklet.
So with a four-page document one side of the paper has page 2 and page 3
and then the other side has page 4 and page 1 (in that order). It
automagically figures out which page goes where to make it all work out
right.
To select it go to Tools -> Options -> Writer -> Print.
Toward the top middle of the dialog is a section labeled "Pages". Check
the box for "Brochure".
