     I would suggest you download this File: Working with Templates. Go 
to http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/ and look in the 
Writer's Guide for this file.
     It will explain how to create the template you want, save it, and 
then use it. It is not an autopilot, but it will do what you want.
