Eike, thank you for the information. I had been looking through the
tracker, but missed it for sure.
I hope the multiple x coordinates are coming soon, as alot of the
data collected makes use of this for what we do in the field. :) )
I'd offer to help implement it, but that is not my area of strength.
Do you by any chance know who was working on that area, I might be
able to work with them.
I also appreciate the import tip.

This sounds like you're trying to import the file via
Insert.ExternalData, an unfortunate name, the menu entry got renamed
Insert.LinkToExternalData in OOo2.0 because it is about inserting data
from external spreadhsheet documents or HTML files containing tables.
Use Insert.Sheet instead and choose "From file".
