I'm not sure which online group is most appropriate, perhaps you could give me

Has OpenOffice Basic / StarBasic the ability to write CLASSES as is possible with VBA?
(without this the thousands of lines of VBA we have will not be vaguely convertible). I
know there is the UNO bridge allowing (e.g.) Java apps to communicate with the API, but
this seems a little inconvenient. Failing this, is there a sutable scripting /
compile-on-the-fly programming system/engine that can "plug in" to OOo?
Many thanks in advance.

You can create your own structures, but you can not create a class that
contains callable methods.
