Hi
I just downloaded Ubuntu 5.10 which comes with Open Office 2. It has no
help files though. I just want to know how to make a root sign such as
2(squared)=4 3(cubed)=27.

Trivial, I know. I was just wondering.

If these superscripted characters are available in the font
you are using, go to the menu bar and click on Insert >
Special Character, then pick the character you want out of
the list of available characters. Even if they are present,
most fonts only have 2 and 3. Any other powers would
have to be expressed some other way.
