1. It isn't "spam" when it's FROM A LIST TO WHICH *YOU SUBSCRIBED*.
2. The instructions are very specific that unsubscribing is most easily
accomplished from the _*same address you used to subscribe*_. There are
alternatives, but you must read and follow the instructions in the help
file that is linked at the bottom of each post. Hint: see the second line:

3. Submitting the email to the unsubscribe address is only the first of
two steps. You must also receive and reply to a confirmation email that
is sent by the list manager robot. If you have been filtering emails
from openoffice.org, you probably have been denying yourself the
opportunity to complete the process to be removed from the list(s) to
which you previously subscribed.
