Anand,

Did you install the openoffice.org-redhat-menus-1.9.125-1.noarch.rpm
that was in the desktop sub-directory of the SRPMS? Maybe try
re-installing this.

Or, for me, it was easier to add
/opt/openoffice.org1.9.125/program/soffice as an application to the
kde app panel that futz with the menus at time.  (but I am suse based
these days)
