In the text document section of open office I am having trouble typing in Japanese. I know I have correctly enabled the language on my computer because in every other application I can type in japanese. However, when i try to type japanese in open office, all that appears are those rectangular boxes. I have enabled asian languages support and my default asian language is japanese, but it still doesn't work. I would really appreciate any help on making this work. Thanks.
Most likely you have to set the font manually to one the actually exists on your system and supports Japanese characters as well.
