In the Windows version of the RC, it says something like "Check off
which of the following you want OOo to open" and then it lists Word
files, Excel files and PPT files.
It seems to me that EVERY MS Office user will check off all of those
boxes, not realizing that he/she has chosen to prevent Word/Excel/PPT
from opening those files!!!
Perhaps that window should say "If you want OOo to be able to open your
Microsoft Office files automatically just by clicking on the file name
or icon, you will be cancelling the ability of Word, Excel and
Powerpoint to do the same. You can open an MS Office file with OOo by
right-clicking the filename or icon and selecting 'Open With", and then
selecting OOo."
