Hi,

I call up sbase, then when the dialogue comes up, I put in that I want to connect to an already existing db. I then select the appropriate file and directory and hit Return.

First, does the directory or file name contain any unusual characters ?
dBase files have certain naming restrictions, see the built-in online
help for more info.

Second, you don't need to select the file. The wizard merely asks you
which directory the dbf file is in. All you have to do is select this
directory and then hit the Next button, after which you will be asked
for a name for your odb document.

I can't seem to make that work. Furthermore, while I can click on any of the New Database .odb files and apparently load them, I cannot seem to achieve anything, such as running the Query wizard, because I get the message "unable to connect to New DatabaseX.db"
