On Open Office Base, when you have created a table (I used the wizard to
create the table) obviously the wizard has a function for changing the order
of the fields within your table. After you have created your table, when
you go to into the edit a table screen (On the main screen within your
database where you can select the various tables created in your database
and it shows the database example to the right when you click on the
individual tables) So you have gone into the "edit the table" screen, and
then you click to the left of the field so the little green arrow appears
and all attributes of the field is highlighted (All the way across Field
name Field Type Description) all three parts of the field are highlighted,
even so although you can delete the entire field, if you try to right click
and then select "Insert a row" the cursor just drops to the bottom below the
last field. Anywhere you go on the list of fields, right click and then
select "Cut" the field, it will disappear from the list as expected, but no
matter where on the list you click in other words no matter which field you
select (Even though no matter which field you click on you always to the
left of "Field Description") It always pastes to the bottom of the list. In
other words, no matter what you do, I have found no way to edit the list of
fields in the table, and reorder them. Is this a bug or is there a way to
do it, or is there no way to do it? Thanks so much and have a great day!!

Sincerely,

James A Boundey
