Yes, you're probably right about that. On the other hand, a well done form could for example require the user to enter a subject AND prefix that subject with "[moderated]" afterwards. So we'd end up with "[moderated] Help!" and "[moderated] Program won't work!". There is one not totally unimportant difference: Right now a huge number of threads have an uninformative AND an identical subject, making them more or less indistinguishable. Threads with "Program won't work!" in the subject might still be uninformative but at least one will be able to keep them apart from each other more easily. Personally, I'm very likely to skip [moderated]-only threads altogether. That doesn't happen so easily with other subjects, uninformative as they might be. And, by the way, while a subject of "Program won't work!" is definitely a PITA in various ways, it still carries a hell of lot more information than "[moderated]" does.
