Whenever I close my Openoffice, I lose all my "Styles&Formatting" -
custom pagesize settings. It reverts back to default. The only
solution so far is to use templates; but pagestyle is more convenient
as it is just a few clicks of the button. Any help?

Just learned the answer to that very recently. Create a text
document with no text in it. Set all your settings the way you
want them and then save it as a template (File > Template >
Save) in the default folder. Then go to File > Template >
Organize, right click on the template you just saved and select
"Set as default template."
