A great idea if you don't need any Mac apps -- how does it run? -- I have a couple of boxes running "hoary hedgehog" but have only tried the live version of breezy on an intel box -- waiting for a final release.

Thanks

Open Office does run on Macintosh OSX -- I would suggest that you
take a look at http://www.neooffice.org/ this is a much more mac
like version of open office. If you are running OS 9 or earlier you
will need to partition your drive and install Linux on your Mac.

Have fun

lol - haven't seen that suggestion of a Mac OS 9 solution before! Ha!

I would be quick to point out, however, that you *WILL* lose *ALL* of your data if you partition your hard drive, so either don't actually do this, or
have backups of *everything*.

I recently bought an iBook 500MHz with 2 usb and firewire interface and
Mac OS 9.2 on it. Rather than try to put OS X on it which would have
taken up a major portion of the small hard disk, I put linux on it. The
Kubuntu 5.10 Breezy Badger pre-release. I am slowly coming to the
thought of using it for all my OOo work rather than having work in two
places and syncing it all the time.
