I totally agree with your experience. I mailed webmaster and also posted about this at [EMAIL PROTECTED] a few days ago. I think they are very busy with other things, but it is very strange they get time to build localized biulds, but fail in correcting the links...
I am also at the moment struggleing to find out how to search and post issues about translation. Ans my language OOo page have been under constrution for some time. They could at least put up links to the build, methinks... One thing we users can do is to help each other until the web people have time to correct things. Like you did here, and I did in my post here recently, see "Downloading hints OOo2.0.0RC localised" 5/10.
