I downloaded OOo2.0 onto my Mac Powerbook running Tiger. It
won't install without Apple X11 1.0. I downloaded Apple X11 1.0 but when
I tried to install it, it said it could not install because I have a
"newer version"
on my HD. Anyone else experience this? Is there a work around?

OOo2 macOsX ports has shown great enhancement these last weeks and can
see as ready (and has been stated as this by various users)
Unfortunatelly relying on an extra soft (X11) can disturb some users if
not properly installed.
I do not have any Mac but forwards your remark/question (and put Eric in
copy)
BTW, the new long time goal of the macOsX team is now the native port
