     F11 should open the Stylus (1.1.x versions). This window probably
is labeled Paragraph Styles. The fourth icon from the left is the Page
Styles. Click it, and the window's name changes to Page Styles. Right
click Default and select Modify. Select the Page tab. Set the margins
you want, and click OK.
     Styles are used extensively in Writer for creating and modifying
text documents. I suggest you read the Introduction to Styles chapter
in the Writer guide at this web address:
http://documentation.openoffice.org/manuals/index.html. It will make
using Writer so much easier.
