Hi everyone,

I've just noticed something strange about converting line drawings
scanned in png format when exporting an oowriter document as a pdf.

They are antialiased. It looks as bad as a jpeg.

Yet the same drawing converted in gimp to gif comes out
un-anti-aliased and looking great!

Has this behaviour carried through to later versions of openoffice, or
should I upgrade?

I'm writing my thesis now (document is full of scanned graphs produced
by a 20+ yrs old piece of scientific equipment), and I like openoffice
for just about every other aspect of thesis writing.

Yours
Jin
