I'm not sure why OOo is displaying poorly for you, but Acrobat Reader does 
its own rendering, which could explain why the fonts look better there. DO 
you see the blocky fonts only in OpenOffice, or are other apps showing it 
as well? If it's only OOo, try using different fonts in your OOo 
documents. If it is everywhere, it's probably a display driver issue. What 
OS/video ar you using?
