 Well, no-one told me where to post my suggestions for Writer, so I 
thought I might as well put it here...
 In WordPerfect, there is this cool thing called "shadow cursor" that 
allows you to put the cursor further down the page at the nearest tab 
stop.  A really cool thing!  The best thing on WP though is "make it 
fit".  This allows you to get the best fit for a specific number of 
pages.  The toolbars option is pretty good too....  My wife is studying 
to become a paralegal and she noticed that on WP there is actually a 
"legal" toolbar!  The best feature (to my mind) is that all the 
documents are kept within the WordPerfect program (a la Mozilla).  This 
means that the Windows Taskbar isn't bogged down with multiple 
documents...  (and when you get more than 4 documents open, there is an 
annoying feature that means you have to click on the icon in the taskbar 
and select the document blah blah blah, I'm sure you can understand me...)
