a cell it pops up a window that is tiled "Fill Series" it asks how I
want to fill the cells, not at all what I want, and it is really
frustrating because most the time I can't get it to do what I want,
unless I just want to copy the cells, but even that take too much time.
I have upgraded OOo several times from RPMs, hoping that it would get
fixed (I'm currently running 1.9 m125) but still have the problem. I'm
assuming that there is just a setting I need to fix, but I can't find
it. Does any one now what I can do to fix this?

This is a customizatoin that RedHat added. If you use a standard OOo from us you should see the same behaviour on Linux as you do on Windows.
Thanks, I was getting ready to try that (using the new 2.0 RC2), it's nice to know I was on the right track. Thanks again!

Okay just a follow up so that others with the same problem can fix it as well, I uninstalled the version of OOo that came from FC4 (They disable all the Java features due to licensing), and installed the version form OO.org (in my case 2.0RC3) it went very smoothly and now I can use the normal pull down autofill features!
