Unless I'm incredibly mistaken, this has nothing to do with individual
applications ( such as OpenOffice ).
Rotating the display is a function of the video drivers. If these
support your TFT display, then all applications should be fine on that
display.
I assume the TFT display will include drivers to allow arbitrary
rotations ( if your Radeon drivers don't already ). Check with the
people at the store where you buy the display, but I'm almost certain
that this should all work regardless of what application you're using.
