Yes you can open MSO templates (assume .dot) with OOo, but be aware that if the MSO template contains macros the macros will not work in OOo. The reason is that MSO macros are written in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and OOo macros are written in SB (Star Basic). The VBA and SB syntax is similar, but they are not compatible. If you have downloaded version 1.9.x (beta 2.0) you could try: Menu -> File -> New -> Business Cards What I have done is create a label sheet as a template for my own business cards.
