Hello,
OOo version: 1.9.109 (Beta 2) in English
Windows XP Pro SP2 in English
I want to install the new 2.0 version, but the installer wants to uninstall the
previous beta version and it does not find the .msi of this old version (in
no-existing directory C:\tmp\SRC680_m109_native_packed-1_en-US.8921\ ).
How can I uninstall properly the old version without this msi file ?
With Windows, you may need to clean up your registry.
Caution is the watchword in messing with the registry in Windows.
I bought System Mechanic. It has been quite reliable in
maintaining my XP system. (Disk defrag, repair registry, malware
removal etc)
Netscape 7.0 had a bad uninstaller (it did nothing on my system)
I removed the files but the registry entries remained. I successfully
used this product to remove extraneous entries.
I am not aware of a free/shareware product. I solicit testimonials
for reliable free XP registry repair software.
