I saw and re-assigned the issue to the impress team. Had to, no chops for that level of troubleshooting. I did notice that the file is pure MSO PowerPoint so I queried in the issue if you had tried to insert the music bite into Impress and have it work. I asked because I think that the import filter from PowerPoint to Impress may have not handled the import of the music. This is to be expected as the import filter has been an reverse-engineering feat from the MSO proprietary format. I think not a bad job at all but in reverse-engineering anything there are bound to be things that do not translate well. So please, try inserting the sound/music file again only this time save the file as OOo Impress.
