I'm not sure it's been established that OO.org can't do what you need.
It was suggested that the upcoming OS/X version would be able to do what
you need. You have however confirmed that Microsoft Office for Mac,
apparently can't ( Although Microsoft Office for Windows apparently can).
It's an interesting management response.
There are probably as many or more OpenOffice.org users than there are
Mac users at this point.
If Microsoft Office can't do what you want, what other package has a
larger installed base which can accomplish your task?
