I took a MS Excel class a couple years ago. When you enter a value
into a cell, you can then upgrade that value by clicking on the cell
(which already has a value in it), and when you do, a little tiny
calculator about the size of the cell itself comes up. The value in
the cell is displayed on the calculator and you can the click (for
example) '+', '145', '=' and the number in the cell is increased by
145. This is useful when (for example) entering weekly income amounts
in a monthly spreadsheet.
Doesn't do it for me on Excel 97 or XP.
Could it have been a macro perhaps?
