Brilliant. This does just what I needed. I had used the OpenOffice.org
help to get as far as enabling the CTL option but hadn't realised the two
text direction buttons were staring me in the face. Maybe a line could
be added to the help (did a search in contents with keyword 'Arabic')
just to bring these two buttons to the attention of the user?
Just noted that the RTL and LTR buttons disappear when entereing text
in a table cell, and I have to resort to using Ctrl + right Shift.
Thanks
Alastair

Can you tell me how I might enter the following line of text please?
. <Arabic text2> "<English text>" <Arabic text1> .1
What typically happens is that I end up with:
1. <Arabic text 1> "<English text>" <Arabic text2> .
Even if I just type stright Arabic and end in a full-stop, it is placed
at the wrong
end of the line.
Any suggestions greatly appreaciated. Regards
